THREADUCATION CENTER

Deviating doomed textiles back into the community fabric

Architectural Textile Pavilion in Atlanta Georgia Fashion, Street style, Virgil Abloh

Mission

Our mission is to Create an inviting and progressive space that prioritizes educating the negative impacts of fast-fashion on the world and the many ways these effects may be mitigated. This will give our audience the power to consciously  navigate the mentality of fashion. Research will be done to increase the lifecycle of textiles to deviate clothing from the land fills, back into the fabric of the city.

Design

The original form was generated from the perspective of the city as a fabric. pulling the thread and taking a closer look into the textile of Atlanta gave way to an organic form that arrises from the earth, with moments of curves and experiences, then returns into the pattern of weave.

gallery spaces, workshops, auditoriums and classrooms flow into the curves and fill this space with stimulating education and information.
