FABRIC OF MIDTOWN
Individual walks of life woven in harmony to create a fabric of the city

Mission
The city of Atlanta, popular for its individuality and blend of cultures, is walked by many diverse communities. Each person may dress
themselves differently and express themselves through the textiles on their bodies. They use clothing for whatever purposes they need for their lives; protection or flexibility, luxury or breathability. As the people of Atlanta go about their day traveling the fabric of the city, they weave a fabric of their own. Turning a single fiber in tension, into a woven texture with strength and purpose in every dimension. Creating one unique textile to strengthen and unite the city.
Process
The geometry of the Pavilion was determined by its anchor points which connect all aspects of the site into one shaded union.
By using an uninterrupted weave pattern and subtracting from it, the form bends and stretches in the most beneficial way for itself to maintain tension.
